Why do I need a name for my site?

The name for your site is referred to as a domain name. A domain name is a unique name on the Internet. No two addresses are the same (www.pepsi.com). Although most companies would like to use there company name, somewhere in the world another company may already registered that name. Domain Names are $35.00 a year.


What is a Host? Why do I need one?

A Host is a company that owns the computers that your site runs on. The hosting company rents you space on their computers. Think of the owner of a building that rents out office space in that building. You would rent office space and they maintain the building. You need a hosting company to keep your site up and running 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Do you offer hosting like so many other Web Designers?

Yes, we set up the hosting of your site! We take care of all the arrangements.

How long does it take to design a site?

On average a site will take from 2 weeks to a few months. Some sites can take longer depending upon the size and complexity of your project.

What if we are in another state?
Yes, we offer a free one hour consultation to clients in our area. For clients in other states we offer free phone consultations or if it is more convenient, e-mail is also an option.

What will I have to do?

We ask that you have ideas on how you would like your project to look. In a consultation will ask to see any materials (catalogs, brochures, etc.) that you have on hand. We also ask questions which also helps us better understand what you want to accomplish with your site. Mass Web Designs, will custom create your web site with the look YOU want.

How much will my site cost?

We do not have set prices for sites. We begin to gather information from you about your project, goals, requirements, and budget. We design samples for your review from the information we receive. We work up estimates based on the samples we design, complexity of your project as well as the size of your site.

All our design projects include full telephone and or E-mail support, advice and assistance with regard to the design and configuration of all information pertaining to your web site while it is under construction.
For local (25 mile radius of Fall River, MA) customers our initial 1 hour consultation is always free. All consultations and meetings after the initial meeting with prospective and current clients will be subject to a $55.00 an hour charge.

What happens after my site is designed?

We Test it! We make sure that every thing works the way it should.
We use various methods to prepare your site for submission to the top search engines.
We contact you and let you know the time frame that the site will be available for the world to see.
We hand submit your site to the top 10 search engines and directories.


Are there any other fees I should know about?

There are no hidden fees at Mass Web Designs. We will go over all the fees associated with any project.

Hosting Fees: You will need to continue to pay for the hosting of your web site. We believe in allowing you to choose the host you want. We will go over hosting companies with you and arrange the set up for you, all you have to do is let us know which one you prefer.

Domain Name: The fee to register and retain your domain name is $35.00 a year. This fee is paid yearly to Internic and is usually charged to you by your hosting company.

How do I pay for my web site?

We require 50% when we start your project and the remaining 50% within 3 days of the site being published to hosting companies servers. We accept Master Card, Visa, Discover, checks and money orders.
